We no longer make waterbeds and we no longer use old joists but we still make bed frames from sustainable timber. We love wood and we think the amazing natural resource of timber should be used to make beautiful furniture that will last.

At the Natural Bed Company we use solid wood, no veneers, for our beds. Most of our wooden beds come in a full choice of timbers - oak, walnut, maple, beech, ash, cherry and pine - all from sustainable sources in the USA and Europe. The beds in our Choose Your Colour collection combine a solid hardwood frame with a coloured mdf headboard.
Mattresses

The correct support will depend partly on your weight, profile and sleeping position. To keep your spine properly aligned, the mattress should neither be too soft nor too hard. Too soft and it will not support your spine; too hard and it will cause pressure on your hips and shoulders. A general rule is that the greater your weight, the firmer the mattress that is needed to support you.
Duvets & Pillows

Here we offer a wide range of duvets, pillows, mattress pads and protectors. Our natural goose down or wool-filled duvets and pillows are wonderfully soft and comfortable. Lighter and warmer than synthetic ones they will last up to ten times as long. Not only insulating and warm, they allow excess body heat and moisture to escape, enabling a most comfortable night's sleep.
