Services
Sash windows
Custombuilt Joinery Limited Joinery Limited crafts traditional timber sash windows with modern double glazing options. Our products combine classic aesthetics with energy efficiency, available in softwood or hardwood. Each window is draught-proofed with quality fittings, tailored to match original architectural details while meeting contemporary performance standards. We offer repairs and replacements for existing sash windows.
uPVC windows
We supply and install uPVC sash windows designed for low maintenance and durability. Features include built-in tilt facilities for safe cleaning, in-key locks for security, and adjustable restrictors. These windows provide thermal insulation and noise reduction, available in various colours and finishes to complement any property style.
Timber doors
Our bespoke timber doors are crafted using traditional mortise and tenon joints for durability. Available in hardwood or softwood, we create internal and external doors with options like multi-point locking systems, decorative glass, and custom finishes. Services include manufacturing, installation, and refurbishment of existing doors.
Secondary glazing
We install secondary glazing units behind existing windows to improve thermal and acoustic performance. Solutions include tilt-and-turn, hinged, and sliding units that reduce draughts, noise, and condensation. These cost-effective systems retain heat while maintaining the original window's appearance.
Storm doors
Custom-built storm doors are manufactured to order using premium materials like European oak and Douglas fir. Fitted with standard or multi-point locking systems, they enhance security and insulation. Available with custom finishes and feature glazing options such as stained glass or leaded designs.

Custombuilt replaced Victorian single glazed windows with custom built timber framed double glazed windows. The quality of the units is unsurpassed and the standard of workmanship of the joiners/fitters/plasterers is to their credit. Fantastic service from quote to finish.

Custombuilt recently replaced my uPVC front door with victorian storm doors. Excellent service from start to finish. I received very helpful advice on the colour and external finishing from Dominic. The installation was painless and both the joiner and plasterer did great work and couldn't have been more helpful. The doors were installed within the timescales set and most important of all the quality is excellent and they look fantastic. Highly recommend.

Just had vestibule door and storm doors reinstated. This also involved demolishing and old porch and replacing with woodwork trellis to match neighbours original. Delighted with the standard of the work and process. Couldn't fault a thing. Thanks.

Asked Custom built to quote for replacing storm doors on our Victorian house. Had only looked them up online. From the onset, was very impressed with Dominic McCrone. He asked us to drop in at their workshop and showed us around. Explained the options for the fittings on the door. He kept us posted on the progress. He also got us in touch with a designer for making bespoke stained glass design for the fanlight. The door is an absolute masterpiece! Can't thank them enough for strong sturdy and good looking storm doors.

They replaced my front storm door without incident, made a decent job of it other than using screws that are clearly unsuitable for external use, and 3 of 8 internal doors, damaging my bathroom floor in the process. They now, despite previously agreeing to, refuse to return to attend to the damage caused to my bathroom floor, other than at times suitable solely to them. They knew I intended to replace the remaining 5 internal doors. Rather than turn down the work, they decided to alienate a customer. They're quick enough to demand payment - shame they refuse to make good on damage they caused.

Outside front doors were getting stuck and not closing properly after 3 years, contacted the company and told outwith warranty, they wanted to charge for coming out to look at it. Overall impression was that they were not interested. Poor effort at maintaining customer relationships from this company. Now after having the doors for 7 years wood is now rotting from where not sealed properly. Havent bothered to go back to company in view of previous response. I would advise to stay away from them.
