Business Details
We are Shanks Soils, a familyrun business founded in 1913 by David T Shanks. Over a century of experience has allowed us to grow from a dairy farm to a leading supplier of turf, soil and garden materials across Scotland. In 2003 we added a landscaping division, bringing together our expertise in planting, hardscaping and site design. Our team now comprises fully certified arborists, certified horticulturalists and professional landscape designers. We have more than 16 years of specialist treecare experience, handling everything from felling to stump grinding. Stateoftheart equipment and rigorous safety protocols ensure every project is completed to the highest standard.
We supply our own turf, topsoil, compost and bark, all produced onfarm and delivered loose to guarantee quality. Our sportsground division constructs and maintains highperformance pitches, with bespoke drainage and turf solutions. We pride ourselves on transparent communication, full insurance and a commitment to client satisfaction at every stage. Clients across Scotland rely on us for residential, commercial and sportsground projects that enhance value and sustainability. We invite enquiries from all regions of Scotland and look forward to delivering superior workmanship and service.
