We have proudly operated as an award-winning architectural practice in Orkney for fourteen years. Our practice is led by two highly qualified architects, Peter Finnigan and May Banks, who form a dedicated husband and wife team. Peter previously served as a director of a commercial architectural practice in London, where he acted as the project architect for major office headquarters, notably The Standard Chartered Bank. May is a qualified conservation architect who was born and brought up in Orkney, bringing invaluable local knowledge to our work. She has worked on major National Trust buildings, most notably the restoration of Ham House in Richmond, Surrey. Together, we possess a strong knowledge base of building in the North of Scotland, allowing us to apply a common sense approach to every project. We aim to give our clients quality design together with exceptional value for money by building close relationships with them.

Our specialised skills lie in building practical, beautiful homes that suit their surroundings and in sensitively restoring old houses to new life. We also create striking landscape designs and commercial building designs that prove practicality does not have to mean plain. We can help you with every step of your build, from finding a plot to interior design, with everything in-between. Since practising in Orkney, our practice has won a Civic Trust Award and a number of Laura Grimond Awards, demonstrating our consistent professional standards. We are fully qualified to act as CDM co-ordinators for clients involved in construction health and safety risk management.
