Solid Wood Flooring
Our solid wood flooring combines natural beauty with exceptional durability. Each board is precision-machined from sustainably sourced European oak, American ash, and other premium hardwoods. Available in multiple grades from prime to rustic, with widths up to 200mm and lengths averaging 1.5-2.5m. Factory-acclimatised for immediate installation, suitable for traditional settings but not recommended for high humidity areas. Matching trims and accessories available.
Engineered Oak Flooring
Engineered oak flooring features a solid oak wear layer bonded to multi-ply backing for enhanced stability. Ideal for underfloor heating systems and moisture-prone areas like kitchens and bathrooms. Available in 16mm and 20mm thicknesses with 4-5mm top layer. Offers same aesthetic appeal as solid wood with greater dimensional stability. Structural grade options can be installed directly onto joists.
Skirting Boards
Precision-engineered skirting boards available in 24+ profiles including chamfered, ogee, and victoriana styles. Heights range from 70mm to 222mm in European oak and other hardwoods. Fast-track options available with one-week lead times for popular sizes. Pre-finished options include oiled or unoiled surfaces with volume discounts for large projects.
Timber Supply
Specialist supplier of planed, sawn, and calibrated hardwoods including oak, ash, beech, and walnut. Offers hobby packs, structural beams, and custom-cut components. Maintains 17,500 sq ft heated factory with air-dried oak beams aged over five years. Provides both metric and imperial dimensions with cubic foot pricing for larger quantities.
Herringbone Flooring
Herringbone engineered flooring combines traditional aesthetics with modern construction. 600x120mm blocks feature 4mm oak wear layer over multi-ply base. Tongue-and-groove joints on all edges ensure secure installation. Factory-acclimatised for immediate laying, suitable for both contemporary and classic interiors with underfloor heating compatibility.

Just wanted to post a favourable review after looking through the others I found a few 1 star angry ranters. Hopefully this will help balance them out. I've ordered a quite a bit of oak and walnut online from these guys recently and have found both the quality of the wood and the delivery times perfect. Hoping to call in one day.

I've visited British Hardwoods this morning and they were all so helpful I wanted to write a review. I found some very nice oak in their timber shop and a young man from the office took an order for some large pieces I need. Even though my order was small he took the time to explain the lead time and was very obliging and helpful. Very good customer service, thank you.

Service and quality was great initially, but it has been rather hit and miss at times. I just got let down by them again which is a shame. They used to be good but I certainly wouldn't recommend them to others now.

Your recent refusal to supply came in retaliation to a complaint I made regarding the quality of some of the sheets in the most recent order. You had previously confirmed my next order could be turned around in 4 weeks, I then confirmed the order after getting the go ahead from my customer and you let us down, causing a massive inconvenience. I don't usually write reviews, but I have visited British Hardwoods Flooring a couple of times now and they always go above and beyond. My last visit I was assisted by Joe, nothing was too much effort, he helped me choose a live edge lime timber board then planed and cut it to size. The wood was great quality, excellent value for money, Joe then recommended the best product to finish what was going to be a live edge desk, which I have to say turned out better than expected. I can't recommend this place enough, for the product and customer service, great team, 5* rating

I have visited on several occasions to select rough sawn hardwood. As a small business the quantities I buy in one go are relatively small yet I am always warmly welcomed and made a cup of coffee while I look through the boards. I have wood yards closer to me but I am happy to travel a bit further for the exceptional customer service.

I only called in for a small piece of Ash to make a guitar body but I was totally surprised at the welcome and service I received there. This is after all a very big business and everything about it is huge, especially the machinery and masses of timber being worked on and moved around. However, nothing was too much trouble despite the small amount of timber I was buying that day. The quality of the timber they have in there is second to none and the piece I bought has shaped and polished to perfection. I can highly recommend this firm to anyone looking for quality timber for projects of any kind
