The company was founded by Ronnie Grant after serving his apprenticeship with a local St Andrews electrical business. In 1995 the company became a family business when Ronnie Grant Jr started his apprenticeship with the company.

We carry out EICR ( Electrical Installation Condition Report ) reports in the home for landlords and homeowners. We are fully qualified NICEIC contractors supplying first class electrical testing services.
TV Installations

We carry out home installations for all types of TV and home entertainment systems in Fife and surrounding areas. Prices for a TV on the wall start at just 70 + VAT. Mr Mansfield We recently had RB Grant install our TV on the wall. Something I thought I could do myself until I realised the number of things I needed to install.

I am that I am writing this review however this has been the worst experience of my life.
Contacted RB Grant in November 2020 to get a quote for installing Solar PV & Tesla Battery as they were getting good reviews from people and felt confident that they were a professional company. Unfortunately do not believe what you read as this has been far from professional.
After getting the initial quote from them we then needed to get DNO approval and after being passed from the owner Ronnie to Barry things went down hill pretty quickly - After speaking to Barry and asking him how the DNO approval was

Only giving 1 star because I can't give zero.
After waiting exactly 1 month from initial contact to the appointment date, I was given 30 mins notice that their electrician had called in sick and that my job couldn't be done.
My wife and I had both taken time off work to accommodate the job given we're working from home and I had turned the house upside down making sure that access was easy for the electricians where it needed to be.
I appreciate that sickness absence is outside of anyone's control but on phoning them the attitude of the 'manager' I spoke to did not do anything to put things

The two electricians which carried out works today were professional, thoughtful and respectful. Work was carried out to a high standard and also cleaned up afterwards. A credit to RB Grant. I would have no hesitation in recommending RB Grant for any electrical works.

I contacted RB Grant Electrical Contractors initially through their website. Within a day they were in touch with me about my requirements, they provided a quote and offered me several options on when the work could be done. They arrived promptly at the time and date agreed, completed the work efficiently, tidied up behind them and left the workplace in a clean and tidy state. The electricians were polite and knowledgeable and responded to on site requests in a positive can do manner. I was impressed by there skills and attitude throughout the work. I contacted RB Grant and was given an estimate. I accepted the estimate and agreed a time. The electrician arrived at the agreed time and worked quickly and efficiently. No mess. Invoice arrived a few days later - lower than estimate. Excellent service. I would not hesitate to recommend this firm if asked.
