Composite Doors

Our composite doors combine traditional aesthetics with modern security features. Each door features a solid timber core, Yale multi-point locking systems, and weather-resistant finishes. Available in multiple woodgrain effects and custom configurations, they provide thermal efficiency with U-values as low as 0.18 while maintaining acoustic insulation. Installation includes precise measurements and hardware matching existing property styles.

Conservatories

Custom conservatories and orangeries create year-round living spaces. Options include tile-effect roofs with 0.18 U-values, self-cleaning glass systems, and polycarbonate alternatives. We integrate security features like fanlight locking mechanisms and Yale hooks while offering full customisation to match architectural styles. Projects include structural calculations and planning assistance for listed buildings.

Double Glazing

Double and triple-glazed units improve thermal efficiency with options like Planitherm glass and Warm Edge spacers. Available in custom sizes including arched designs, they reduce heat loss by up to 30% compared to single glazing. Installation includes safety features such as laminated glass and anti-lift blocks for enhanced security in both residential and commercial settings.

Secondary Glazing

Secondary glazing systems enhance existing windows with thermal insulation improvements of up to 60%. Our solutions include soundproofing options reducing noise by 45dB and security upgrades with laminated glass and multi-point locks. Ideal for heritage properties, installations maintain original architecture while meeting modern energy standards without requiring planning permission.

Glass Processing

We cut and process various glass types including toughened, laminated, and horticultural glass. Services cover bespoke sizes from 2mm picture frames to 35mm polycarbonate roofing, with options for obscure patterns, self-cleaning coatings, and fire-resistant specifications. All processing meets British safety standards with on-site polishing and off-site beveling capabilities.

We have used SSG twice and have been very pleased with the results both times. The fitter, Chris, took great care not to crack any tiles in our bathrooms, and the windows look great. Many Thanks.

Can't speak highly enough of South Shropshire Glass and the service provided. I had a really difficult job for them, needed to add a top-spec all year round room onto an existing porch. Good advice and expertise to start with plus excellent customer care, saw the job completed within the timeframe quoted. Great care taken to ensure that porch, (built 5 years ago by another builder), and new room matched in style and materials - to such an extent that visitors can't believe it's new build. That's how well they've done the job. Good surrounding patio style finish rounded the job off well. Builders
