About Us

Bushy Business was founded up by Chris Stone in 1996 whilst he trained at Merrist Wood Horticultural College. Starting from a humble blue Mini van the company has steadily grown and established itself as a professional, dependable business with a meticulous attention to detail, high customer service levels and with a strong a work ethic.

The Team

Chris started his working life in London in money broking before he quickly realised that wasn't the life for him. He started working on a local trade nursery and enrolled himself at Merrist Wood College, starting up a maintenance round from his trusty Mini van in 1996.

We are aware that this is a unique and unusual time and you may be wondering how - or even IF - we can help you. We are delighted to say that, due to the nature of our work, much of what we do has been able to continue safely. We have made a few adjustments to our procedures, in order to keep both our team and our customers safe.

What we are passionate about

Maybe it was our parents, or our family as a whole that got us hooked on gardens. Maybe it was the brief period we spent in Australia as children that instilled that indoor/ outdoor mentality. Whatever it was it stuck, it got its claws in and we couldn't get free - thankfully! Both David and I feel very fortunate that we can work within an industry that we feel so passionate about.
