Questions
What materials do you use for your doors?
We use toughened glass, anodised aluminium, zinc-coated steel, and sustainably sourced timber. All materials meet UK safety standards and are chosen for durability and aesthetic quality.
Can your doors be installed in bathrooms?
Glass doors can be used in bathrooms with appropriate privacy glass options. However, they should not be installed in direct water contact areas like shower enclosures.
Do you provide installation services?
We offer installation services subject to location. Our team provides surveying and professional fitting for complete door systems, excluding structural modifications required for pocket door systems.
Are your doors suitable for listed buildings?
Our custom solutions can be adapted for period properties while maintaining architectural integrity. We recommend consulting with our team to discuss specific heritage requirements.
What safety features do your glass doors have?
All glass doors use BS EN 12150-1 compliant toughened glass that shatters safely. Edge polishing and protective coatings ensure additional safety and durability for residential and commercial use.
How do I maintain my new doors?
Regular cleaning with non-abrasive products maintains appearance. Metal components require occasional lubrication of moving parts. We provide care instructions specific to your chosen door materials and finishes.

After looking at the attractive website and speaking to a very helpful man on the phone, I took a day off work for a 4 hour journey to Nottingham. The 'showroom', a small industrial unit, was locked, and after a short wait, a woman - who I can only describe as hostile - let me in. I apologised for turning up without an appointment, though I hadn't realised I needed one. She gave me a begrudging 20 minutes of her time and promised to get back to me with some prices. I never heard back from her. I had a considerable amount to spend on internal doors!

As an existing customer, I was disappointed that when I decided to order the upstairs doors, after they had already fitted downstairs, that after a lot of chasing and calls to their office, to be told that they they no longer covered our area. This was extremely poor.

Fantastic and efficient service. I ordered a bespoke sized, obscured toughened glass, bathroom door and associated furniture. The total amount being over 600.00,
I obviously had to get everything correct, as there was no second chance. I was lucky enough to place my order with Sue, who obviouly has made it her business, to know the product and it's manufacture thoroughly. Sue patiently guided me through the process of measurements etc, making sure there were no mistakes. I orderd with confidence! Sue ensured I was able to collect the door in record time and now my bathroom has a posh door

We bought several bespoke doors and we couldn't be more happy. We also knocked out part of a wall to create a wider opening, and had a large glass sliding screen fitted by them, letting in more light and creating a bigger impact. The doors looks amazing and have made such a difference to our house. The service from start to finish with the Elegant Doors team was superb.
