Business Details
We established LARK Architects in 2015, building upon decades of combined directorial expertise to offer a genuinely design-focused architectural service. Our practice is RIBA chartered, which reflects our commitment to the highest professional and ethical standards in architecture. We are passionate about delivering successful and imaginative buildings for all clients, whether they are commissioning a domestic extension or a large commercial development. Our directors each bring over 25 years of industry experience, having led award-winning schemes and managed complex multi-disciplinary design teams across the UK and Middle East. We do not conform to a single architectural style, preferring instead to offer a contemporary, project-specific approach that creatively treats problems as opportunities. Our process begins with a thorough consultation to fully understand our clients' needs, ensuring we can creatively translate these into designs of the highest standards.
We believe that close collaboration with our clients, design teams, and contractors is an essential and enjoyable part of every project. The extensive experience and creativity within our practice are combined with an enthusiastic and personal service to ensure project aspirations are successfully achieved. We are proud to have built an impressive portfolio of completed projects, including NHBC award-winning schemes, which demonstrates our capability in delivering high-quality residential layouts and new builds. Our professional, personal, and creative service is structured to provide great value for money and maximise our clients return on investment. We approach every project, from inception through to completion, with the same dedication to solving complex problems with imaginative and practical designs.

As soon as we made it clear that we didn't want a simple box extension stuck onto the side of our house they lost interest. Nearby houses of the same original deeign as ours had interesting angles and shapes to their extensions but it seemed as though Lark lacked the ability or the inclination to be bothered to put any effort in.
Looking at other house extensions in the local area designed by Lark this would appear to be a common trend. The new Smithy Fold development in Kildwick is another example of lazy designing with minimal effort. The houses are unimaginative, slab sided and the typical
