Electric Thermal Store

A cylinder style stainless steel thermal store with a separate cold section - which can be supplied with an isolation kit and installed without a discharge overflow if preferred. The store is open vented at atmospheric pressure. Mains hot water is via an internal coil and there is no need for relief valves, tun dishes or metal discharge pipes.

The HETAS listed SFUTS pre plumbed pre wired Universal Thermal Store has been designed to link a number of heat sources including gas or oil boilers, wood burners, and solar thermal or PV as well as electric and other inputs. Everything you see in the picture is included in the price! It uses the thermal store principle of storing central heating (primary) water, and is fed without coils from boilers and wood burners for example.

You won't find an electric combi in a white box, it would need an electric cable feed the size of your wrist. Most gas combi boilers are 30kW or more, and the average house has a 100 amp electric power supply, so using all of this power would only produce 24 kW and you would need to switch every other electric appliance off!

Advance has been involved in the design and manufacture of these special cylinders for many years and we have worked closely with leading heat pump manufacturers to make sure the product works well with that technology. It isn't just a case of bigger coils, but coil capacities and positions in cylinders are critical, as is resistance.
