Services

Draught-Proofing

Our draught-proofing service enhances window energy efficiency by installing modern materials during full refurbishment. This process eliminates rattling sashes, reduces noise, and prevents dust ingress. Clients report noticeable improvements in comfort and reduced energy bills, with results documented in our testimonials.

Sash Cord Replacement

We replace all sash cords simultaneously to ensure balanced operation and prevent future failures. Using durable nylon cords and cord cleats, we avoid traditional nailing methods that damage timber. This service extends window lifespan and maintains smooth functionality, as highlighted in client feedback.

Complete Refurbishment

This comprehensive service addresses all aspects of sash window condition, including decay repair, paint stripping, and hardware upgrades. Ideal for neglected windows, it avoids full replacement by extending existing unit lifespans. Our approach preserves historical accuracy while modernising performance, particularly for listed properties.

Pulley Replacement

We replace worn forged pulleys with ball-bearing race types for smoother operation and reduced noise. This service is critical for heavy sashes or when installing modern glazing solutions. Clients note significant improvements in window functionality and longevity after this upgrade.

Security Enhancement

Our security solutions include key-operated sash stops that restrict window aperture while allowing ventilation. Designed for child safety and insurance compliance, these upgrades maintain aesthetic integrity. Clients appreciate the balance between security and historical authenticity in conservation areas.

Right from the start, Rob was great. He arrived to survey the windows and was professional and enthusiastic. He was totally knowledgeable, efficient and reliable throughout. Rob and his team made an excellent job of revealing the beauty of our sash windows, uncovering them from secondary glazing and refurbishing them. They are the most important feature in our home and thanks to Rob and his team, we enjoy them every day. Rob recommended other skilled trades to us and they were all great. Nothing is too much trouble for Rob and we would highly recommend Hampshire Sash.

Rob and his team were excellent and I would highly recommend their work. They fitted the work we required to our sash windows into a narrow window in our hectic lives and were extremely efficient. The neighbours all commented on how friendly and professional they were and they have done an excellent job of repairing and draught proofing our windows to a high standard. Their quotes were much more reasonable than others. Thank you!

Excellent service from Hampshire Sash Windows replacing the glazing on an existing Sash window in my listed property. The quality of the work was excellence, but more than that the level of communication throughout the process was exceptional, and made a real difference in my confidence with them throughout the process. Would definitely recommend.
