We can also glaze the secondary glazing with 6.4mm laminated glass, this will block 99% of UV rays coming into your home, which will stop your furniture fading blinds going brittle etc.

NRG GLASS is owned and run by father and son Geoff and Rob Noble. Geoff has 40 years experience of aluminium fabrication and Rob has 20 years experience of installing secondary glazing.

Part L of the building regulations for replacement double glazed windows set a U value of 2.00. Standard 4mm glass secondary glazing over an average single glazed window achieves a U value of 2.5. Secondary glazing can be fitted to improve thermal insulation as well as eliminating draughts. Secondary glazing can improve the thermal insulation of a window by up to 70%.

The cavity or gap between an existing primary window and the secondary unit can make a significant difference to the level of noise insulation. Unlike sealed units where the two pieces of glass are rigidly coupled together, the primary and secondary windows act as independent barriers to the transmission of noise.

RAL Colours

NRG Glass have the facility to manufacture our aluminium products in any RAL colour, to your individual colour requirements. We use industry standard RAL colours, which are a range of over 200 colours available in gloss, semi-gloss and matt finishes, from approved coatings specialists. The Polyester powdercoat paint is baked onto the aluminium in order to withstand the rigors of all weather conditions and modern living in the UK.
