The Key Machine is an independent auto locksmith company based in Penryn near Falmouth that covers most of Cornwall, we specialise in the providing of replacement car keys for customers who have either lost car keys or broken car keys. I rarely write reviews, but these guys deserve one. I needed two new remote coded keys for a 2011 Range Rover L322. The Land Rover dealership had quoted me 350 per key plus over 200 in coding. So over 900. Key Machine did me a new key and repaired my old one like new for 203. A saving over over 700. Impressive and efficient service.

Amazing service from these guys. Had a huge issue with ignition barrel caused by a different garage. They diagnosed and fixed the problem in around 30mins and charged me around 30. Cannot thank them enough for their professionalism and honesty and would recommend them 100%.

Excellent company who came to my rescue in 20 minutes in Redruth after I locked cars and house keys in my old car. Polite and efficient service and reasonable price after I got fleeced by an online company pretending to be local who took a huge payment upfront and then left me stressed and hanging for hours who I have had to fight to get the money back via my bank (I did eventually). Key Machine in contrast turned up, did the job in minutes and then took payment. Would highly recommend them.

I drive a "Toyota Alphard" and had been having problems with my keys for many months then the chap that services my car suggested I visit the "Key Machine". Wow in twenty minutes the new key was cut, batteries were replaced and all reprogrammed what and amazing service many thanks.

Needed a key for my Alfa, no one could replace it, the usual excuse being 'can't get the codes from Italian cars.

My Modus needed a new ignition barrel and Renault wanted 300 for the part, plus a 4 week wait for it. This company in Penryn made a new part and installed it for a lot less. I sent the photo of my key on Friday and the car was repaired today, Tuesday. Great service. Recommended!

Having used Key Machine previously and recieved a great service, I popped in to have a new blade cut and fitted to my existing van key. I also enquired about the cost of having a second spare key cut and coded. Brilliant service, sorted both the existing and new spare in no time at all, and the prices are once again great. The key to our old Ford had stopped working. I phoned Ford who told me that it would cost 170 to test and sort it out and recode the key. Huh. Came here and it was found that we had not taken the sticker off our new battery. Once we took it off the problem was solved at no cost. Thank you so much.

the best most easiest key smith and lock smith in the area. Timpsons quoted me 300 for a change of car keys. these guys fixed my old one, repaired one i thought was long gone and re-cut a new one for me for 20.

Fixed my car key in no time! I'm very grateful.

The remote locking/unlocking was not working even after I changed the battery, so he tested the battery and just resynchronised the key. Hey presto, a working key again!

OK so our bulldog managed to lock us out of our car today. Phoned the AA who advised to give these guys a call as may be able to get a key from them to open it up. I spoke to Ben who was awesome, he contacted the dealer for the key code, cut a key, and had it ready in minutes. Wayyyy cheaper than having to forcefully enter the vehicle and couldn't help enough. Highly recommended

I called this company from others' recommendations. I needed a new key fob, metal key inside fob for a Mercedes. The guy in the shop said I can come down straight away it may take an hour. I dropped off my car, bought a pastie from rows, purchased a new kitchen mixer tap from Screwfix round the corner and walked back to the shop. The key was ready, it took 25 minutes. Great job, didn't even need to take the dashboard apart. The price was very reasonable (more than half of the cost from the main dealer). Thank you very much very happy, will recommend to anybody.

Exceptional and quick and courteous service from John at Key Machine.

My 1 year old son had taken my car key out of my pocket without me realising as I was putting him into his car seat and before I realised had pressed the button to lock the car then dropped the keys. I tried the RAC but they said I wasnt covered under my policy then called over 10 other locksmiths none of whom picked up their phones. I called John losing hope and he answered straight away and was with us in half an hour. Super grateful for his fast response and kindness - thank you! Highly recommend!

We had problems with the only key of our recently purchased car. None of the buttons worked meaning the car could only be locked/unlocked manually which was a bit of a pain trying to do with a toddler in tow.

This place was recommended by a family member, messaged on Facebook first to enquire before I headed down. In less than ten minutes the key was fixed!

I needed a new electronic key for my car, this is apparently the only place in Cornwall to get one. It took 10 minutes, and cost just 25. A main dealer would have taken a week to ten days and would have cost around 150. I would recommend this place to anyone.

John and the team are simply the best at what they do. My car was sent to him by another garage to code a key after an electrical fault meant all the keys lost their programming (dodgy French electrics - Peugeot) that they couldn't do, and it was all done quickly and efficiently.

Yeah, you ain't going to get a better service anywhere in Cornwall for key cutting. Been here twice now to have keys cut for vans.
Cracking couple of lads, beautiful doggy greets you too.
Even has a call out service, if some of you might need a emergency key replacement, etc

We called john from key machine after locking our keys in the trunk or should I say boot of the rental looking for the camera to take pictures of the coastline.

he was so knowledgeable and easy to speak to over the phone that we called him out to open the boot of the vehicle reassuring us that it will be 100% damage free.

we come from the usa where the last thing you want to deal with is a crooked locksmith, but john was really above and beyond. exceeded our expectations of what dealing with a locksmith would be like by far.

he showed up in a clean and very professional van. even cracked a joke
