UNPROFESSIONAL - DO NOT USE I booked the day off work to wait for an engineer who said they would be there between 10am and 6pm and would phone half an hour before they arrived. At 17h50 still no call so I rang through and was told someone would phone back. At 18h10 no-one had phoned - phoned them again and was told and engineer would phone back. By 18h20 they had not phoned and when I rang them up they said someone would definitely phone. This time they did phone back and made some excuse for the engineer not coming earlier in the day. Matthews Plumbing was efficient and knowledgable in servicing our boiler. During the process the guys identified a gas leak and fixed it immediately. They explained exactly what was happening and I felt in safe hands. The service was professional and communication and time-keeping were excellent. I will use them again and recommend them to others.

If you are thinking of using these guys for maintenance around your house, RETREAT NOW. We hired them for a day's work. It took two grown men over an hour to hang three shelves, although in fairness, one of their team was so hungover from the weekend, it was effectively just the one person doing any work. They arrived late, spent a decent amount of time outside on their phones, left messy drill holes for us to fill in ourselves everywhere, put stuff up reasonably badly, left early, and then were completely apathetic when we called to discuss this with them and refused to offer even a small discount
