We're a family run, independent Garden Centre based in the heart of Shropshire. With a love for the countryside and the beauty of outdoors we're here to help you enjoy your garden whatever the weather. Traditional growers at heart we've been knocking around here since 1986, so we happen to know a thing or two about gardening.

Well of course gardeners know all the dirt after all. Being a traditional Garden Centre, plants are our true passion and our plant area is full of healthy, cared for garden delights. We offer some extras for the garden too so why not pop in to see us. We're also leading growers of 1 litre hardy plants and supply retail outlets nationwide, both large and small.With our Gardens open for you to explore and our Tea Room overlooking the pond, we have the perfect setting to relax whilst thinking of plants for your own garden.

I visited this Garden Centre on Sunday the 12th December with my sister who had ordered a take away afternoon tea. This treat was for a very small family gathering with my brother in law who has terminal cancer. I was blown away by the kindness and helpfulness of the staff there. I would like to on behalf of my sister and myself thank you for making this visit so special and rememberable. The Management should be so proud of their staff they are a credit.

The staff were extremely helpful & friendly. Super variety of plants & shrubs, extremely good quality at very reasonable prices. The value plants section was amazing selection all for £2.99. First time at Oakgate will definitely visit on our next trip to friends on Loggerheads.

Nice setting for cafe, attached to garden centre. Served up nice coffee and a good choice of cakes etc. Also you can order a variety of meal. All orders brought to tables by waitresses.

Lovely privately owned garden centre. Carried some different lines to the bigger garden centres, reasonably price. Small garden areas to wander round, very pretty. The cafe served up a tasty light lunch. Will visit again

It was amazing. We only went to have a look. Had a nice cup of tea . Nice tuna may sandwich. Prices was really good too. Had a look around lovely Garden . Which gave me ideas. So went back into the shop to get more plants. Staff was so happy to help . It was a real pleasure to go . I'm definitely going again .not just for a look xx

A very decent local nursery, the star attraction are the small gardens which are delightfully laid out. The staff are extremely helpful, there are also very clean toilets and a pleasant tearoom. You can enjoy your pot of tea on the patio overlooking the fish pond and enjoy the view.
