We are Scope Joinery, led by our founder Peter Lord who spent more than 30 years as the founding managing director of Scope Joinery LLP before establishing our independent practice. Following the solvent liquidation of Scope Joinery LLP after the retirement of its co-director, Peter chose to continue his lifelong passion for high-quality joinery by operating solo under our current banner. Our team specialises in crafting high-class, purpose-made bespoke joinery built to the highest possible standards, using only premium, sustainably sourced timber for every project. We collaborate closely with leading architects, builders, private clients and commercial partners to deliver tailored joinery solutions that meet exacting specifications. Our portfolio spans a diverse range of projects, from contemporary new-build developments and commercial fit-outs to sensitive heritage restoration work for organisations including the National Trust. We are based in our own purpose-built workshop premises in Mid-Norfolk, where our experienced joiners many of whom worked alongside Peter at Scope Joinery for decades carry out all manufacturing in-house.

Bespoke Kitchens
We design and handcraft bespoke kitchens tailored to the unique needs of each domestic or commercial client, using traditional joinery methods in our Mid-Norfolk workshop. Furniture & Cabinet Work
We create custom traditional and contemporary furniture and interior fittings for both domestic and commercial contracts, including fitted bedrooms, libraries and one-off statement pieces. All items are handmade in our workshop to exacting client specifications, with full attention to fine detail. We apply in-house finishes including stains, lacquers and French polishing to enhance the timber's natural beauty.
Exhibition Joinery
We design and manufacture exhibition staging and custom display cabinets for temporary and permanent exhibitions across the UK, serving museums, galleries and event organisers. Our team prioritises efficient change-over times and strict adherence to tight project deadlines. All products are built to be durable, reusable and tailored to the specific requirements of each exhibition space.
Ecclesiastical Joinery
We specialise in restoration and new bespoke joinery for churches, chapels and other religious heritage sites, meeting the sensitive requirements of historic buildings. Our offerings include decorative screens, roof components, new altars, pews and custom ecclesiastical fixtures. All work uses traditional methods and sustainable materials to respect original heritage specifications.
General Joinery
We produce a full range of general joinery products including doors, windows, stairs and conservatories, designed to match existing installations or created to custom client specifications. Our in-house design team can develop original joinery designs for clients without pre-existing plans. All products are built to high durability and aesthetic standards using premium sustainable timber.
