The current owners took the business over a couple of years ago and have put some much-needed investment into the place. Certainly, it's neater and much better presented. Half-dead plants don't litter the place like before. I always find garden centres vaguely depressing places and I'm not quite sure why. What I am sure about is I don't like and won't pay the high prices. So I'll sit in the car while the wife goes in - after reminding her of course any purchases she makes come out of her account so I've got enough wedge left to run the house. The wife likes spending money but doesn't like seeing

First class array of flowers, shrubs, grasses, trees etc. that seemed healthy and nourished, so tempting to purchase. The seasonal Halloween displays so eye catching.
Enjoyed tea and cake, although windy, made the most of the dry weather.
3 hours spent here, so therapeutic . Well done to the lovely staff.

This nursery used to be very good under the previous owners. It was what I would call a proper plant nursery but now it has been replaced with farm shops & coffee bars. Whatever next ? a bouncy castle for the kids visiting !! Very overpriced plants. 100 for a Magnolia tree !!!
