Your chimney is designed to allow the smooth flow and exit of your fire's exhaust gases and smoke. The smoke is made up of harmful soot particles and carbon monoxide. In addition soot particles are flammable and, with regular use of your fire, will build up and line the inside of your chimney.

It's obvious that burning fuels will result in emissions, just like petrol / diesel engined cars and coal fired power stations. My service is designed to be able to help consumers minimise these emissions and maximise their stove efficiency. Despite newspaper reports to the contrary, the government's own Clean Air Strategy makes clear that it has no intention of banning wood burning stoves.
