Meet the team

With a deep-rooted history of cabinet making running through his veins, it was predetermined that Phil should continue this long held tradition. His early days were spent on the family farm in East Sussex. This is where he learned his craft, working closely alongside his siblings, all of them designing and making furniture to sell at local fairs and shows.
Harrison & Pope
Report
Way back in the summer of 1989 Philip Harrison and Louise Pope teamed up to design and make furniture. Their workshop was then based in an old run-down Welsh chapel situated high up in the mountains of Mid Wales. Philip from a background of very traditional cabinet making and furniture restoration and Louise with an Art degree and a passion for wood carving.

We have come a long way over the last 30 years, and this has invariably involved a considerable amount of trial and error. Perfecting processes and making careful choices is a huge part of this journey. Every element and aspect of our work from the initial design and the construction methods through to the fine materials we use are a result of these many years of knowledge.
