Services
Facing Stone
Precision-cut Caithness flagstone for exterior building facades. Our facing stone combines structural integrity with aesthetic appeal, offering weather-resistant properties that maintain architectural character. Available in various finishes to complement traditional and contemporary designs while preserving the material's natural dark grey patina.
Hearth
Custom hearth installations using thermally stable Caithness sandstone. Our hearths withstand extreme temperature variations while maintaining their polished finish. Each piece is hand-finished to highlight the stone's unique veining patterns, creating focal points that enhance both traditional and modern interior spaces with enduring elegance.
Worktop
Durable worktops crafted from high-density Devonian sandstone. Our kitchen and bathroom surfaces combine scratch resistance with low maintenance requirements. The non-porous surface prevents liquid absorption, while the natural iron content creates distinctive colour variations that develop character over time with regular use.
Paving
Dimensional paving stones engineered for high-traffic areas. Our paving solutions utilise the stone's inherent slip resistance and frost durability. Available in calibrated thicknesses from 20mm to 160mm, each installation maintains dimensional stability while creating seamless transitions between interior and exterior architectural spaces.
Memorial
Hand-carved memorials and commemorative plaques from enduring Caithness flagstone. Our memorial stones preserve inscriptions permanently through the stone's dense composition. Available in wall-mounted or freestanding formats, each piece incorporates traditional carving techniques while maintaining the material's natural weathering characteristics over centuries.

We design and build renewable systems in the Highlands for estate, commercial and domestic clients. Our wood and mult-fuel stove installations would not be the same without the exceptional product, service and craftmanship the Norse Stone team provides.
Caithness flagstone is local, natural and special to the area. It can be finished in a variety of ways and always complements the surroundings. We love to use Norse Stone's bespoke designs for our stoves but there are many more ways in which it can be used. We were so impressed by the Norse Stone team and their ethos we have it installed at our
