The Good Tree Company is a professional arboricultural firm delivering skilled tree surgery services that meet the needs of both the client and their trees. The company was founded and is run by Jonathan Finlow (see our team), who began working in arboriculture in 1996. Established in 2002, the business was registered as The Good Tree Company (UK) Ltd in 2008.

We believe, from our years of experience, that it is this very experience, as well as qualifications and updating, that is important in providing the client with the best value and most appropriate advice and work.

Ten thousand oaks of one hundred years are no substitute for one five hundred year old oak tree. I started out on the tools, in 1996, and then combined this experience with study at Merrist Wood College and Westonbirt Arboretum, while learning the craft further through work with various organisations, including the RHS gardens at Wisley and work as a freelance arborist in New Zealand, Australia and the UK.
