Dave came on time, quickly found and fixed the faulty light switch, very impressed with his service I will recommend him, very reliable and efficient. Fantastic job, had dave in our house to re-wire two lights (one into bathroom and one into loft ) install all wiring and switches etc and to add socket.

If your fuse board / fuse box has a wooden back board, cast iron or ceramic switches, or a mixture of fuses it is likely that it dates back to before the 1960s and we would recommend it to be replaced.
Older fuse boards / fuse boxes also offer little protection from electric shock. They don't have the protection that a new 18th edition board would have. It is advisable to use a residual current device (RCD) whenever possible but particularly in wet or damp locations such as outdoors. An RCD rated at no more than 30mA limits the energy in a particular type of electric shock and can save your life.
