The Infinity solar roof is the ultimate use of the Roof Integrated System, for an almost seamless glass roof. Frameless solar panels are mounted within a structural framing system and the roof is them finished with high quality welded aluminimum flashings that are powder coated for colour matching.
The result is a glass and aluminium roof covering from ridge to gutter and side to side, with huge solar power output and a 25 year warranty. The Roof Integrated System was designed by GB-Sol in 1994 and has evolved into the perfect solution for mounting integrated PV panels within a roof surface and to withstand all weather conditions experienced in the UK and beyond.
Tested by BRE under hurricane conditions, it is proven to be completely watertight. The GB-Sol G60 panel is a framed solar panel that is soldered, laminated, framed and wired by our team of 18 technicians at our factory north of Cardiff. G60 panels are made using high quality 4mm toughened glass, which is much stronger than the 3.2mm glass used on most panels.

In 2017 GB-Sol were contacted by a customer looking to re-roof their 1960s bungalow in the South Downs National Park. Having recently bought the house, they were doing a complete renovation and looking to future proof the property. A full re-wire, an air source heat pump, underfloor heating and solar PV were among the improvements to be made.
