My recent experience of Tapco was not the best. To mention first, the reception staff, Gemma in particular, was helpful and polite, and the main work was done to a good standard. However the person who refitted my electrics did it wrong, meaning I had to get an electrician out afterwards. There was no follow up questionnaire or any communication to ask about my experience and satisfaction of the work that had been done. It was a pretty big job and was booked to begin at 8am on 17/11/21 and to last 4 days, bringing it to the following Monday. However I got a phone call that morning to say the man

Excellent work on damp proofing the ground floor of a Victorian house. Four rooms in total to take off the old plaster to the brickwork, damp proof course and chemical injection and then rendering and skim.
Jimmy performed the majority of the work and was an excellent plasterer...extremely high quality and commented on the work by a number of tradesmen that came in after asking for the number of the person performing the work. Good banter too and he took the time to explain each process and advised on the best materials for other renovation works in the property. Highly recommend...not cheap

Instructed work on our property some time ago and did not receive any certificate in relation to the 20 year guarantee that they offer. It seems pointless that they advertise their work with this given the cost in relation to other suppliers. I have chased up the company 4 times waiting for the certificate and keep being told it sits with another team to action. I am yet to hear anything.

I appointed Tapco to carry out a survey and provide a report on moisture presence, mould growth etc on a property I was working on. They were given a clear instruction and confirmed that they could help with this and charged 150 for the survey/report. The person carrying out the inspection came across as incompetent when testing the moisture levels, didn't bring the correct equipment to inspect for mould growth within the intermediate floor voids and also marked numerous walls throughout the property with his ladder.
