Our family business was has now been running for seventy years, having been established in 1947 by grandfather James Sarsfield. He was joined by his sons, Tony, Bernard and Terry, in the 1950s. My father Terry, the youngest of the three brothers, served his apprenticeship in the craft of stone masonry in Carrara, home of the famous marble in Italy, in the 1950s.
