We strip internal and external antique doors using caustic solutions and pressure washing, followed by natural drying and hand-finishing with wax or lacquer. Our process removes paint and varnish while preserving wood integrity. Repairs are made with matching materials before sanding and finishing to restore original beauty.
Fireplace restoration
Victorian, Edwardian, and Art Nouveau fireplaces are stripped to reveal original details, with black leading and tile replacement available. We restore surrounds and wood-burning stoves, ensuring structural integrity while maintaining historical accuracy for period properties.
Furniture stripping
Wooden and cast iron furniture is stripped using traditional methods, including hand-stripping for dark oak to achieve a light modern finish. We restore chairs, tables, wardrobes, and garden furniture, preparing surfaces for waxing or lacquering to enhance natural grain.
Antique sales

A five star service... John was fantastic, stripping the paint off 8 old doors beautifully for me within a week and at a fair price, thoroughly recommended!
(And definitely use this company over any others as I had a terrible experience with another company I was first trying, who took 3 weeks to give one door back and it was totally ruined..)

John was fantastic. I was thinking of replacing all my doors but sent a photo to John who advised me they were the original doors (Victorian property) and that they would come up really great with all the numerous layers of gloss paint removed. He returned them today and was true to his word they are absolutely fabulous! He removed them, took them away and rehung them when brought back. Hes a really genuine guy with a great sense of humor. Saved me a fortune on not having to buy new doors. I now have better quality doors in keeping with the age of my property far better than I could buy new

These guys are AMAZING! I have a wooden temple made by my dad years ago but needed some proper TLC and the old lacquer removed. Had it stripped down to bare wood and just love the natural colour of the teak wood underneath! Ben and John are absolutely fantastic and I couldn't be happier with the result! Top job, top men, top service! Would HIGHLY recommend!

Just had our old dark oak table returned. Excellent job. We had the table and chairs stripped and repainted. The table top was matt varnished, legs painted to match chairs. Excellent job. So happy with the up to date look and the fact we've used our old table.

Rarely do I ever do business with a company who truly deserve 5 stars across all dimensions. Outstanding. Additionally, John's attitude was so positive and friendly, it was so easy and lovely to do business with this company. My fireplace is restored, exactly as they promised to showroom condition.
