We are a proudly independent, family run Plant Nursery and Garden Centre with over five generations of growing history. We specialise in bedding plants and herbaceous perennials, produced on site by our skilled plants-people. Our plant area is home to a wide variety of plants, trees and shrubs and you'll find friendly and knowledgeable advice on hand to point you in the right direction!
We now boast a restaurant too, serving award-winning home-cooked breakfasts, lunches, cakes and coffee. All our ingredients are farmed locally, where possible. Carvery is served Thursdays and Sundays.

Bedding Plants

Bedding plants are annuals. They may have just one season in the sun, but what a season: they flower for an incredibly long time and are invariably so spectacularly beautiful you'll lose your heart to them. We stock two kinds of annual in our garden centre in Swarkestone: hardy annuals to sow direct from March onwards, and half-hardies to sow under cover as they don't like frost.

Climbers are one of the most versatile groups of plants in our garden centre and we've got a great selection for you to choose from.

Growing your plants in containers opens up a whole new world in which you can experiment with different combinations, ring the changes or totally overhaul your planting at the drop of a hat. A huge variety of plants from our garden centre grow happily in containers, giving you potted colour from January to December.

Visited today to take advantage of the carvery in their restaurant. The meal was very nice and excellent value for money. The restaurant is kept clean and tidy. In addition to the carvery (Thurs & Sunday) other meals, sandwiches and cakes are always available.
This independent garden centre still concentrates on gardening products and plants rather than gifts and clothing outlets. They have a very good range of plants and gardening tools available.
We have purchased plants from here in the past and they are always high quality, healthy plants.
The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

Visited yesterday with my Mum and we were specifically looking for some hanging basket plants but didn't really know what we were doing! We knew what we wanted it to look like but wasn't sure how to make the vision a reality.
We spoke to Carleene (unsure if I've spelt that correctly!) and she went above and beyond to help us find exactly what we wanted and gave us various other ideas too. She was so helpful and friendly. She made such an impression! An asset to the business. It's rare to find someone this helpful nowadays. Employee of the day, week, month & year!
