David Musson Fencing Ltd is a family run business founded in 1981 to supply fencing materials to the local area. David set up the enterprise to generate additional income to his farming business. Gradually the fencing business increased in size to become David's sole occupation. Today we employ over 25 people, including David's two sons at our site near Melton Mowbray.
We stock a large range of fencing, gates and landscaping timbers supplying the general public, farmers, councils and equestrian centres. We also have a well stocked shop selling fencing hardware, tools and workwear. All products we carry in stock are now available to view and purchase via our online shop.
As a family run company, we always strive to give a good service to our customers, with quality products at very competitive prices. With many years of experience in the fencing industry, our staff will be happy to help with any queries.

Creosoted Timber
Report
Slow-grown European Redwood timber is used for the production of the posts. A colder climate means slower growth, producing a higher quality of timber. Our posts are treated in the uk, with the full sapwood penetration giving each post a lifetime of over 40 years. The timber is dried to below 28% moisture before treatment, creosote is then heated to around 90 degrees and applied under pressure of 3 bar.
Fiskars Tools
Report
Fiskars 21 Bow Saw SW30 is truly excellent for sawing stems and thicker branches when you are out in the garden doing heavier pruning. The curved nose enables cutting in hard-to-reach or difficult positions, typically in places a lopper cannot access, and sawing is fast and easy due to its unique 'plane toothing' which cuts on both the push and pull stroke.
Insulated Tools
Report
The SUMO range was developed to withstand the superior forces applied to long shafted digging tools. Our SUMO spade has been designed and tested to withstand load forces up to 250kg when tested on a BS3388 testing rig. This is the strongest spade Carters have ever made, strong enough to take the weight of an average Sumo wrestler!
