We are a 3rd generation family run business, designing and manufacturing high quality bespoke sofas, chairs, corner sofas, and sofa-beds since the 1940's at TailorMade Sofas High Wycombe. In the early years the business concentrated on manufacturing for independent retail stores throughout the country.
However, in 1990 we decided to change direction and manufacture directly for the public. We have a large showroom in High Wycombe with our workshop above; we also have a large car park with free parking. In the showroom you will discover a variety of traditional, modern, and contemporary designs, together with a comprehensive selection of high quality fabric ranges to choose from.
In order for you to achieve the right look and comfort we have various types of cushion interiors available, including foam, quallafill fibre, and feather. Our knowledgeable and friendly staff will guide you through your options helping you to customise you sofa, chair, corner sofa, or sofa-bed. All orders are handmade by experienced craftsmen and women; each piece is individually built to customer specifications.

In the early years the business was run by John Hawkins and concentrated on manufacturing small nursing chairs. There were designed by John for retail stores throughout the country.

A: We have standard sizes but, as we make every piece specifically for you, we can alter any dimensions by any amount. This could mean a change in length, depth, height of back, height of arm or even height of seat. A: No - there would be no extra charge to change arm or seat height or to make it smaller.
