Assessing the site context and the client requirements in parallel is important to ensure suitable proposals are explored from the start. Often there are constraints such as the proximity of neighbouring properties that may influence a proposal and it is our duty as architects to inform clients of what may be appropriate in that scenario.

I needed an architect for my wrap around extension and found Umayr online with great reviews and I must say the reviews were not wrong. Umayr came up with an innovative plan that ticked every box for our extension plans and exceeded our expectations.
He kept us informed the whole way through and quickly altered the plans when the council requested amendments, avoiding any unnecessary delays.

We approached Umayr to help us plan & design a rear, wrap round extension to an old Edwardian semi which currently does not work for how we want to live in the space. He has been absolutely brilliant throughout the design phase & planning application approval. He’s been patient, considered & has suggested ideas which we hadn’t thought of but ultimately make for a better use of the space & flow of how we’ll move through & access the new extension. We are so pleased with the resulting plans which have just been approved & can’t wait for it to be built. Thanks once again, it’s a highly recommended

We had a great experience with Northedge Architecture when designing our extension. Umayr produced excellent designs to give us the extra space we needed in ways we hadn't thought of. He was always very responsive and always got back to us quickly with several drawings to show how different ideas would work, all the way until the final plans were decided. Our plans have just been approved and we can't wait to get started.

Cannot recommend highly enough. Umayr was thoroughly professional and dependable in submitting drawings to the council for planning permission. He took away all of the worry during the process and kept us fully informed and updated throughout. He is also a super guy and took the time to understand our requirements and concerns from the outset. I would absolutely recommend Northedge Architecture without hesitation.
