I am the principal designer and owner of Gerbera Designs, which specializes in garden design. I obtained my qualification as a garden designer in 2009, achieving an HNC in Garden Design with distinction from the Scottish Agricultural College in Aberdeen.
I also complemented my studies by attending Aberdeen College, where I earned the RHS 2 Certificate in Horticulture in 2007. Additionally, I regularly contribute as a garden design columnist for Scotland Grows.

Joanne took our likes and dislikes, and created lovely, practical garden designs for us. She was immensely patient as our ideas evolved and plans changed. She recommended suitable plants and building materials, and when she was finally able to plant up our front garden (first project), it was so exciting to see it all come to life! Thank you so much!

Joanne has designed an interesting colourful garden for my bland grass only new build. Within days there are signs of wildlife that had not visited the garden before. The specification Joanne provided was very detailed and she helped with the landscaper where he had questions. She also provided information on aftercare for the plants. Very satisfied with the design process and cant wait to see the plants grow.

Highly recommend Gerbera Designs. Having very little thought of what we wanted for a newly landscaped back garden Joanne was so helpful and designed a lovely plant layout. She undertook all planting with healthy, quality plants. We also received an after care plan for plant maintenance. Excellent communication and would use her services again.

Would highly recommends Gerbera Designs. Joanne worked on a great design for our garden and really pleased with the results of the design process. We are at the stage of awaiting work to start by the contractor but to date we have been really impressed with Joanne. Provided lots of input that we would not have considered and has probably avoided us making some expensive mistakes. Hopefully will be able to add pictures of the final product once complete.

I got in contact with Joanne from Gerbera Designs through Houzz to help me with a planting design for my front garden.
After an initial visit and discussion she came up with a design I was delighted with and within no time the plants were ordered and planted.
Very pleased with the result and can't wait till Spring to see everything coming to life.
