Full and partial rewires for period homes, renovations and extensions across Bristol. We plan the work around you, keep the disruption and mess down, and hand over a fully tested and certified installation with a new consumer unit. Free survey and a fixed price quote before any work starts. 
We carry out EICRs carefully to assess the safety and condition of your fixed electrical installation. Our inspection includes the fuse board, RCD protection, circuits, sockets, switches and other accessories, alongside tests for earthing, polarity, insulation and disconnection times. Findings are coded and explained in plain English before your completed certificate is emailed to you. 
Replacement of old fuse boxes with a modern metal consumer unit fitted with RCBO protection and surge protection, tested, labelled and certified to BS 7671. Fixed prices agreed before work starts, Part P notification handled for you, and every circuit checked before we hand over. Ideal before a rewire, an EV charger or when an EICR has flagged the board.

We provide electrical fault finding for problems ranging from flickering or dimming lights to dead circuits, repeated RCD trips and sudden loss of power. We undertake a variety of smaller electrical requirements, from fitting extra or USB sockets to replacing switches and dimmers. Fixed prices apply to common jobs, while several tasks may be completed during one visit to keep costs down. 
From kitchen and living room lighting to garden lighting, we design and install a wide range of solutions, including downlights, pendants, chandeliers, wall lights, dimmers and LED strip. We work with homeowners, interior designers and builders across Bristol, completing projects in period properties and new builds to a high finish, with every circuit tested and certified. 
Electrical installation, maintenance and testing form the core of our service for commercial premises such as shops, offices, pubs, restaurants, salons, workshops and small industrial units. We can provide three phase distribution boards, new circuits and machinery supplies, LED lighting upgrades, data and containment, as well as commercial EICRs. All work is arranged around trading hours, with certificates issued on completion. 
Our service covers Commercial Electrical Installation Condition Reports for landlords, letting agents, offices, shops, salons, pubs and restaurants. Rather than disrupting your normal opening hours, we schedule inspection and testing accordingly. We provide a clear report for use with your insurer and fire risk assessment, establish fixed prices for any remedial work identified, and issue reminders when the next inspection approaches.

We handle first fix and second fix work, together with testing and certification, on extensions, refurbishments, loft and garage conversions and new builds. We attend when promised, follow your programme, make our pricing clear and issue completion paperwork. 
Our electric shower installation service covers the electrical requirements from the consumer unit through to the shower connection. Depending on the existing installation, we can either replace a similar shower on a suitable circuit or install a new dedicated circuit for a higher-powered or newly added shower. All electrical work is tested and certified, with notification completed where applicable. 
For emergency lighting, we undertake the design, installation, annual testing and certification required by offices, shops, hospitality venues, HMOs and communal areas across Bristol. All work is carried out to BS 5266. Monthly function testing and the yearly three-hour duration test are arranged around your business, with certification available for your fire risk assessment and insurer.

Luke and the team have carried out work several times on my property in St Werburghs, Bristol (BS2) including a full rewire in 2019 and recently extending power into my adjacent garage.

Luke and the team did an electrical safety check and replaced our consumer unit as well as a load of other bits that needed doing to sort out the electrics and make them safe in our 1930s house. He was super professional, easygoing and good fun (did a good job dealing with our cat who was getting right in the way too) and weve already asked him back to do some other work that has come about (which he fitted in really quickly!) I used LH Electrical for an electrical survey and some remedial works (new consumer unit, adding and replacing sockets and light fixtures, some corrective works for things that were bodged by the previous owner) in a mid 80s property I just moved in to. Luke and his team took over our work which was in a bit of a mess. They straightened it out within a couple of days and they've done quite a bit of installation work since then, in the house and outdoors.
They are knowledgeable and skilled, and the team works hard for Luke and us as the client, staying late to get a job finished up when needed. They're nice guys and pleasant to have around the house. Charges are reasonable. Recommended.

We would highly recommend Luke and Chris. We have used them 3 times. Even before they start a job, their customer care ethic is evident. They keep you informed and check every detail to ensure you are clear about what has been commissioned. Time keeping and their care in protecting your home whilst working are exemplary. I am so impressed with this company! Whilst in the middle of the morning school chaos all my electrics cut out. Didn't panic too much as I have emergency cover with home insurance. Who called 4 hours later to say no one available. Fantastic service from Luke, Jamie and Jack. We had a difficult light fitting to go in a stairwell which was really hard to access due to the height. Jamie and Jack took on the challenge and were really happy with the result. They also did a few smaller jobs, replacing a light fitting and adding a new light to an existing switch. They made sure we were completely happy with everything all the way through the job and left the house clean and tidy afterwards. Luke previously moved and fitted a new consumer unit for us and we would always trust LH Electrical with all our electrical jobs in the future.
