Questions
What does Carpet Tiles UK sell?
Carpet Tiles UK is an online retailer of commercial carpet tiles and carpet planks, based in Brighouse, West Yorkshire. It stocks contract-grade flooring from leading manufacturers including Interface, Burmatex, Paragon, Gradus and LifeSpace. The range covers office flooring, heavy-duty tiles, entrance tiles and budget options for large projects.
What is the difference between carpet tiles and carpet planks?
Carpet tiles are square and suit quick installation over large areas. Carpet planks are long and rectangular, so they can be laid in herringbone, brick-bond and other patterns to create a more designed look. Carpet Tiles UK stocks both, including plank versions of popular ranges such as Burmatex Tivoli, Tivoli Mist and Arctic.
Which carpet tiles are best for offices?
For offices, look for tiles rated Class 33 heavy contract under BS EN 1307 that are also castor chair rated, so they can handle heavy footfall and office chairs. Carpet Tiles UKs most popular office ranges include Interface Heuga 727, Paragon Workspace Loop, Burmatex Tivoli and LifeSpace Elemental Loop.
Should I choose nylon or polypropylene carpet tiles?
Nylon tiles are more resilient and hold their appearance for longer, so they are the usual choice for busy commercial spaces. Polypropylene tiles cost less and work well for lower-traffic areas or projects with a tight budget. Carpet Tiles UK lets customers filter its range by fibre type to compare the two.
What does Class 33 mean on carpet tiles?
Class 33 is the heavy contract wear classification under BS EN 1307. It shows a tile has been tested by its manufacturer for high-traffic commercial use, such as offices, corridors and schools. Most tiles in Carpet Tiles UKs heavy-duty collection carry this rating.
How much do commercial carpet tiles cost?
At Carpet Tiles UK, prices start from around 14 per m for value ranges such as LifeSpace Elemental Loop. Premium designer ranges cost up to about 40 per m. Tiles are sold by the box, and prices are shown per m so customers can compare ranges easily.
How do I work out how many carpet tiles I need?
Carpet Tiles UK has a free online carpet tile calculator that works out how many boxes a space needs. It is good practice to order around 5 to 10% extra to cover cuts, pattern layouts and future replacements.
Does Carpet Tiles UK offer free delivery?
