The Babbage's hung out their shingle in 1984, bringing together the three brothers, their Mother, Father and a small group of quality tradesman as a general building contracting company, named after their parents Brian 'B' and 'M' Mary, not very imaginative but tapping into a well established name well known within the Cotswolds more importantly than their home town of Cheltenham.
In those days the slogan was 'for all your building needs' domestic, commercial, shops, civil engineering, in fact any construction work where the opportunity presented itself. The strength within the business in those early days used the 'family' members strung out across the workforce with representatives from the site based operations to the supporting function within the office.
The business demand forced a dilution of the family element with a greater polarisation on individual skills but without losing the family business feel. The client base grew steadily moving with the market conditions, in the late eighties the construction market was strong in housing and we moved into this sector providing a house building service for individuals, development companies and architect led projects.

The team is a group of individuals with a wide experience of construction and construction related affairs. Based on a family company with a focus on trade based skills. Regular and wide ranging training has been used to give a balance to the group and give confidence to engage in all construction related tasks with flare, ingenuity and integrity.
