Before he started his own practice, I worked in the design team with Kris when he was leading the design of a ~£100m mixed residential, retail and leisure scheme behind King's Cross. I was impressed by how he ran large meetings but also his depth of knowledge about details and the practicality of building. Before I'd met him, I'd already heard good… things within Ramboll from his time leading the design of the Plimsoll building. Plimsoll, behind King's Cross, was mixed use residential, retail and educational and has since won design awards as well as being I'm told a great commercial
