Dear Restoration

Dear Restoration is a private company led by Aidan Dear, with over 25 years of dedicated expertise in restoring antique sash and casement windows for both private residences and historic buildings. Our team combines traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques to preserve the charm and character of period properties while enhancing functionality. We specialise in sliding sash restoration, bespoke timber window and door manufacturing, and draught-proofing solutions tailored to heritage requirements. Our commitment to quality is reflected in our use of sustainably sourced materials and environmentally conscious practices, including waste reduction and energy-efficient upgrades. Clients consistently return to us due to our reputation for meticulous attention to detail, exceptional customer service, and the ability to address complex restoration challenges.

We prioritise preserving original features, ensuring compliance with conservation area regulations, and delivering solutions that improve energy efficiency without compromising aesthetic integrity. Our work has been featured in Homes and Living Magazine, underscoring our industry recognition. By focusing on restoration over replacement, we help clients maintain historical authenticity while achieving modern comfort standards. Our teams deep understanding of period architecture and joinery enables us to replicate original designs with precision, even when original components are missing. This dedication to craftsmanship, sustainability, and client satisfaction has solidified our position as a trusted partner for heritage window restoration across the UK.
