I have now been in the carpet and flooring trade for over 31 years. It all started when I left school and applied for a carpet fitting apprentice job at Royale Carpets which where the premier carpet business in the whole of the Peterborough area. I left Royale's in 1989 to go self employed as a contract fitter.
This lasted till 2003 when I decided to purchase Stanground Carpets. It is now Stanground Carpets & Flooring Limited due to the expansion into the Commercial flooring trade. I have tried to build the business as a Family run workplace but with the room to compete with the major flooring companies around the area.
We pride our self on delivering a fast and professional service. I was educated at Old Fletton County Primary school where I was Peterborough and Hunting donshire Boys chess champion 2 years running. I then moved onto The Kings School Peterborough where I enjoyed all sports and carried on playing Chess for Kings.

Large shop so lots of stock to choose from no mater what your budget is 👍the staff were friendly and helped explain everything to me helping me find a higher quality product & the quote for the carpet, underlay and fitting was £180 cheaper than another local store 💯👏😊
Edit - its always we'll call you back & they didn't & didn't do carpet when expected so went with another local company and very happy with them.

Would not recommend Stanground Carpets. They made a total mess of our floor, the floor was all lifting they managed to get latex and glue on our brand new kitchen doors and bifolding doors. We refused to keep the flooring after giving them a chance to put it right which they couldnt even get right! So they ripped the floor out and left all the glue on the floor which is a total mess. How they think the installation was worth the money they quoted us is beyond me. I would avoid Stanground Carpets.
