Konrad Weaver
Feb 05, 2026 Report
We needed a damp and timber survey on a property we were purchasing that had fallen into neglect and disrepair, and had been unoccupied for some time. We chose Neil because he is independent, has over 30 years experience in damp and timber surveys, and is a member of the Property Care Association (PCA). In our view there was no better choice for a prepurchase damp and timber survey in Cumbria. We were also keen to avoid nonindependent contractors who might upsell unnecessary work, adding cost and stress at an already anxious time.

Neil travelled from Newcastle to Cumbria and spent over an hour at the property, assessing it thoroughly.

He took the time to answer all of our questions and gave clear, independent professional opinions throughout. That same evening we received his report by email. It was extremely thorough, with clear explanations and practical recommendations, and it gave us real peace of mind about the property. Worth every penny, and we would not hesitate to use Neils services again if and when we move house in future. Thank you so much, Neil!
