As the cost for heating our homes and businesses increases, more of us are understandably looking for more cost-effective ways to keep our properties warm. The benefits are multiple in both domestic and commercial installations - it is an affordable heating fuel (see table opposite), you could receive financial support, and it is a greener, cleaner, low carbon option.
More detailed information on how installing a biomass system could be the best option for you, and how much you could potentially save, can be found on our specific pages - biomass for home and biomass for business.

Report
Based in Denby Dale, within easy reach of Huddersfield, Wakefield and Leeds, Denby Dale Energy is a specialist in the installation and maintenance of high quality HDG and SHT biomass boilers throughout Yorkshire. As part of Denby Dale Stoves, we have been supplying wood burning and multi-fuel stoves, fireplaces and boilers since 1996, and have a wide range on view at our two showrooms in Denby Dale, including two working biomass models.
It is a commonly known fact that we need to reduce our dependence on fixed carbon fuels such as oil and gas. With biomass you have a greener, cleaner energy source. Wood is the largest biomass energy source and it can be harvested on a sustainable basis as part of constantly replenished crops. It is also a CO2 Neutral fuel source as the CO2 is taken out of the atmosphere at the same time as it is released by combustion of the previous harvest.
With a biomass boiler the fuel you will use is wood - either in pellet, log or chip form - all of which are readily available and cheaper than most fossil fuels! The Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) is a Government scheme to promote the use of renewable heating in domestic properties. The scheme pays homeowners for the renewable heat used in your home.

If you have multiple properties you could install a biomass district heating system and in doing so qualify for the Non-Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive from the Government. Subject to the detailed scheme criteria, this could mean a financial return payable over a period of 20 years.
