Edwin Hillier, our founder, was a true Victorian entrepreneur, industrious and visionary. Edwin was born into a family of poor agricultural labourers.

Specialists in semi-mature trees, both field and container grown, plus contract growing with a focus on plant health and biosecurity. After a careful review of the latest government advice Hillier Nurseries, Amenity Trees division is continuing to trade, operating within the guidelines laid down by the government.

At Hillier Garden Centre Bath, overlooking the Somerset countryside, you will find an abundance of quality plants. Our knowledgeable plant experts are on hand to give advice and guidance. Our Mulberry & Thyme Restaurant is now open for indoor and outdoor dining. Dogs are not currently allowed inside our restaurants (except for assistance dogs), but they are allowed in the outdoor seating areas.

I'm house hunting at the moment in Berkshire, relocating from Buckinghamshire. Hot on the heels of putting an offer in on a local property (what a beautiful area this is) the in-laws and I decamped to Hillier Garden Centre for tea, cakes and purchased a load of plants to upgrade our respective gardens.
Nicely laid out, there's a good balance between mid range and the more expensive statement plants, statues, herbs, summer houses, the ubiquitous smart garden centre foodie treats (ideal for presents) and a smart open plan eatery with seating spilling outside, adjacent to a series of summer
