Services
From either the North or the South, you'll arrive at Grasmere by the A591 road which passes right through the middle of the Lake District. From the roundabout at the South of the village (near the Wordsworth Museum) take Stock Lane into the heart of the village. Pass the Potted Out Cafe on the right and follow the road over the hump-backed bridge before taking a left turn.
Along with everything else we do at Grasmere Garden Village, at the heart of the matter we're passionate gardeners. We are fortunate enough to live in a beautiful part of the world, but are also just as fortunate to be able to indulge our interest and appetite for all things green-fingered as part of our working lives.
Here at Grasmere Garden Village we have an extensive selction of clothing, from unusual brands you wouldn't see on the highstreet to stylish and chic Itailian linen and silkwear. We are also stockists of Silent Night Footwear, shoes that look FAB-U-LOUS but are still comfortable enough to give you that spring in your step!
When everywhere you look is a feast for the eyes, make sure you take time out to feed your passion for a real taste of the Lake District! The name may sound unassuming enough but the food created by our talented team of chefs is worthy of just about any acclaimed eatery. Our menu changes on a regular basis, reflecting the seasonal availability of fresh produce.

Would like to say a huge thank you to the staff here! After waiting half an hour at the brewery tap for our food only to find they'd lost our order, we now had a very hungry toddler (even hungrier than the caterpillar), so we decided to just go elsewhere. We arrived here and asked the seater how long it would take to get him a bowl of soup and he replied 'I can get it now' and the little one was tucking in within literally 30 seconds of sitting down. It's nice soup too!

We always look forward to visiting the garden centre and tea room and have done for many years, this time however I was very disappointed in both service and quality. We had a tray of drinks, 2 pots of tea and a decaff coffee! We had to ask for cups to drink tea from as didn't come on the tray so had to go and ask for 2 cups! coffee was nearly cold! All in all not up to their previous standards and wouldn't bother again!

Stopped off for some lunch and coffee and cake after visiting my mother in law in bowness. Walked around Grasmere and thoroughly enjoyed both the garden shop and this restaurant. The food was outstanding. One of the best Sunday roasts I have had and so well presented. A wide array of both savoury and sweet treats to decide from. Sadly we were first served by a lady who seemed to be rather abrupt and somewhat huffy but the other staff were exceptional. We will definitely be returning when we get the chance.

Grasmere is a lovely Lake District village. Sarah Nelson's Gingerbread Shop is a must, as is Dove Cottage Wordsworth Museum and the church where many of the Wordsworth family are buried. The garden centre has a pretty good cafe for lunchtime and other refreshments. It sells the usual garden centre stuff plus an assortment of other gifts etc.

After checking out the Wordsworth Daffodil Garden and family grave, I stopped in here to have a refreshment. Our tour guide gave us about 45 minutes in Grasmere to sightsee and have tea.
I opted to have a Prosecco instead of tea this time around. A 20 cl bottle of Prosecco was only £5.99. Very reasonable. It was very good. It's enough for 2 people really. I also purchased a slice of Banofee which unfortunately was a little dry. It was the end of the day, so it has dried out. The Prosecco was nice though! I thought I'd celebrate the fantastic tour of the Lakes we had that day!
