Services
Heritage architecture
We specialise in restoring and adapting listed buildings while preserving their historical character. Our approach combines traditional materials with modern techniques to enhance functionality without compromising heritage value. By collaborating with conservation officers, we ensure projects meet planning requirements and achieve sustainability goals. Our expertise includes sensitive renovations of 17th-century cottages and conversions of historic seminaries into eco-friendly homes, balancing preservation with contemporary living standards.
Residential architecture
Our residential services focus on creating bespoke, energy-efficient homes tailored to clients' lifestyles. We prioritise natural light, spatial flow, and sustainable materials to deliver comfortable, low-impact living spaces. Projects range from transforming 1970s houses into modern family homes to designing Passivhaus-inspired hillside residences. We guide clients through planning and construction, offering project management and a network of trusted professionals to ensure seamless execution from concept to completion.
Commercial architecture
We design commercial buildings that merge visual appeal with operational efficiency, catering to offices, community hubs, and retail spaces. Our process ensures compliance with planning regulations while enhancing user experience through improved layouts and energy-efficient features. Examples include converting listed squash courts into sustainable cafes and creating community pavilions that integrate sports and public use. We support clients from initial consultation to site surveys and staged fee proposals, ensuring clarity and alignment with project goals.
Master planning
Our master planning services optimise land use for residential and mixed-use developments, focusing on sustainability and long-term viability. We conduct holistic site analyses to create designs that maximise space while minimising environmental impact. Projects include transforming heritage schools into carbon-neutral homes and developing brownfield sites into affordable housing. We collaborate with developers to navigate planning challenges, offering staged proposals and technical expertise to ensure projects are both innovative and feasible.
