Smith Building Services was established in 1991 by Bernie Smith FCIOB, MBEng consisting of a small team of operatives mainly carrying out maintenance on the various RAF bases in Norfolk. As time went by, the company grew larger, as did the client base. In 1999, Smith Building Services became a limited company.

This property has become very tired over the years due to a lack of investment. The new owner commissioned a full renovation of the property including a loft conversion and porch extension. The owner still receives positive comments from the local community for rescuing this property.
