Business Details
We have been delivering exceptional building and joinery services across Suffolk and East Anglia since our establishment in 1903. Our team combines over a century of continuous craftsmanship with professional qualifications that secure our Chartered Building Company status. We transitioned to employee ownership in 2024, reinforcing our long-term commitment to quality and collaborative stewardship. Our skilled tradespeople, many of whom joined as apprentices and have spent decades perfecting traditional techniques, form the backbone of our operation. We operate our own in-house joinery workshop where bespoke kitchens and cabinetry are meticulously handcrafted to exacting standards. Our expertise spans heritage restoration using lime-based materials, structural carpentry, precision decoration, and high-specification extensions.
We pride ourselves on blending heritage sensitivity with contemporary precision to achieve results that endure for generations. Our management team holds professional qualifications ensuring every project meets rigorous technical and regulatory standards. We guide clients through every stage of their project with transparent communication and a personable, professional approach. Kitchens & Cabinetry
Our in-house joinery workshop handcrafts bespoke kitchens and cabinetry to the highest standards of quality and design. Skilled joiners with decades of experience create each piece using traditional methods combined with contemporary precision. We seamlessly integrate cabinetry into building projects for cohesive, luxurious interiors.
Masonry
Our bricklayers specialise in heritage restoration using traditional lime-based products and handmade bricks alongside modern alternatives. We strengthen and repair historic brickwork, fit intricate stonework, and construct new builds with equal expertise. Every masonry project benefits from our deep understanding of period-appropriate materials and techniques.
Carpentry
Our highly skilled carpenters undertake structural and architectural timber work using traditional joints and tools for historic repairs. We prioritise careful restoration of existing structures and windows over replacement to extend their lifespan significantly. Modern precision products are fitted with the same exacting craftsmanship as traditional elements.
Decoration
Our professional decorators achieve impeccable finishes on interiors and exteriors using traditional lime wash, mineral paints, and modern systems. Thorough surface preparation ensures every coating provides a durable, long-lasting result for period and contemporary properties. We apply the same meticulous care to decorative finishes as to structural work.
