Business Details
We are Carpet Yard, a well-respected local flooring specialist operating two dedicated showrooms across Derby, one on Wood Road in Chaddesden and the other on Victoria Avenue in Borrowash. Our proprietor Frank Dungate brings more than 25 years of hands-on experience in the carpet trade, with a proven track record of successfully meeting the needs of our diverse customer base. Annette manages our Borrowash store while Frank oversees operations at our Chaddesden location, ensuring consistent, high-quality service across both sites. All of our fitters are local, experienced professionals who are passionate about delivering excellent workmanship for every project they undertake. We cater to both domestic and commercial clients, including homeowners, pubs, shops, schools and offices across the local area and beyond. Our extensive product range includes a wide selection of carpet, vinyl and laminate patterns, with options to suit every style preference, budget and requirement. Our core guiding principle is that we have something for everyone, and we are committed to offering friendly, personalised service to every customer who walks through our doors or contacts us.
We pride ourselves on our fast and efficient service, supported by rapid delivery systems and our team of expert fitters who can respond to requests quickly to minimise wait times for our clients. We offer a dedicated OAP special that includes free uplift of old carpets and free furniture moving for senior customers, removing the stress of these tasks from our older clients. Our free home pattern service sees our team visit your property with product samples, provide expert advice and take accurate measurements for your new flooring at no cost. We operate with full transparency on all pricing, with no hidden charges for any of our services, including our laminate fitting and commercial flooring projects. We also offer a carpet recycling service for old flooring removed during our work, and we are always happy to provide tailored quotes for larger commercial projects.

Really happy with the selection offered, no pushy sales just friendly good old fashioned genuine good service.
Fitters arrived as arranged, again polite and friendly and cleared away after themselves and took away my old carpet. Nothing was to much trouble. Excellent all round experience, will definitely be back again.

Would highly recommend. Had wonderful service and carpet looks great, really nice quality. The guys who came to fit it were great too; Cleared out the old carpet, left the place clean and tidy. The cost I was given was what I paid, no hidden extra costs.
