Air Source Heat Pumps

Air source heat pumps absorb heat from the outside air. This heat can then be used to heat radiators, underfloor heating systems and hot water in your home. An air source heat pump extracts heat from the outside air, very much in the same way that a fridge extracts heat from its inside. Even though you wouldn't think it, the Heat Pump can get heat from the air even when the temperature is as low as -15° C.
Ground Source Heat Pumps

Ground source heat pumps use pipes buried in the garden to harness natural heat from the ground. It does this by pumping water through the pipes, this heat can then be used to heat radiators, underfloor or hot water in your home. The pump needs electricity to run, but it uses less than the heat it will produce.
